I'd like to take a moment to honor the passing of a truly unique individual.
Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch, whose 'last lecture' on achieving childhood dreams took the internet by storm, died Friday of complications from pancreatic cancer.
Randy's 'last lecture' was videotaped and put up on
YouTube.com where it quickly became a sensation.
If you haven't already done so, I encourage you to watch it today.
It is truly a moving experience and is an outstanding example of grace, courage, and love shining through adversity.
My only hope is that I can exhibit such grace and courage when faced with my own death.
Thank you, Randy, for reminding us all of what it really means to be a human being.
And thank you to Randy's family for sharing him with us at a time when you probably wanted to keep him all to yourself. I, for one appreciated it greatly.
Peace,
Bob
