Public Service Space
To my readers:
In an effort to give back to the community at large, I have decided to set aside a portion of my website 'real estate' for the purpose of showing public service ads for causes that I believe contribute to making this world a better place.
This portion of the site isn't designed to earn me money, but instead to share the blessings of my life in a way that will benefit others. The websites I choose to link to are ones that I feel good about. I may rotate the links I show, I may move the space around, or it may grow into an entire page of its own... but I will always dedicate a portion of my site to worthy causes. This isn't something that anyone asked me to do, or told me to do. I simply believe that it's the right thing to do.
To my fellow webmasters:
Whether your site is a money making venture or simply your personal page on the web, I would encourage you to look within your heart. See if the idea of setting aside a small portion of screen real estate to provide links to worthy groups or causes is an idea that makes you feel good. It doesn't have to be a large area. Heck, even a simple text link to your favorite charity or group will help them out more than you can imagine.
If you do decide to 'donate' a text link or banner or whatever to your favorite charity or organization, drop me a note and let me know. I'll add your site link, with a small(!) description, to the list of civic minded webmasters below.
